An interview with Jérôme BERNARDEAU,
CIO at FICOFI
In what context did you organize the training sessions you are going to tell us about ?
Jérôme Bernardeau : FICOFI has initiated an internal transformation in July 2022. We are currently changing our processes and realigning them with the transfer of our activity from France to Asia. As part of this transformation project, which will last one year, we are reviewing our processes and our IT solutions. Infor M3 is our ERP and is used by our teams in France, Singapore and Hong Kong.
he teams have quite different levels of expertise on M3. Historically, we have a lot of skills in France, in French. In Singapore, the teams are English speaking and less familiar with M3. The way our Finance teams in France and Asia work is also quite different. That is why we wanted to upgrade and harmonize the skills on M3 in all our entities.
What type of profiles were these courses intended for ?
Jérôme Bernardeau : People working in the Finance departments. The employees in Asia were less familiar with the ERP than those in France.
How was the training plan designed ?
Jérôme Bernardeau : We told Authentic’s Pedagogical Manager that we wanted to train the teams on the different Finance modules of M3. She proposed us an agenda that we submitted to the teams in France and in Asia. They gave us their feedback and asked for some adaptations. The training plan was therefore really tailored to our needs.
What training program was finally proposed to you by Authentic ?
Jérôme Bernardeau : Authentic provided us with a program for 10 remote training sessions, each lasting 2 hours, in English.
What did you think of these trainings ?
Jérôme Bernardeau : The feedback is very positive. People have learned a lot.
The Authentic trainer managed to adapt to the audience which was disparate in terms of skill level on M3. He was able to get them all on board.
The trainer also managed to adapt to the questions asked during the training sessions. This sometimes led him to deviate from the initial framework. We really appreciated this flexibility.
